Japanese Scientists Discovered An Enzyme Against Helicobacter Pylori Caused Gastric Cancer

- Apr 13, 2016-

Japan researchers in the United Kingdom the nature microbiology Journal reported that they have found an enzyme that helps fight against Helicobacter pylori causes stomach cancer. Gastric cancer is the second-largest cancer killer of mankind, behind lung cancer, particularly in East Asia, Japan every year about 50,000 people died of stomach cancer. Most of the stomach by Helicobacter pylori infection.

Japan Tokyo University researchers found that Helicobacter pylori cagA protein into cells of the stomach, and an enzyme called SHP2 binding, leading to gastric cancer. They found that SHP2 has a "brother" enzyme SHP1,cagA protein when combined and SHP1, its carcinogenic activity is neutralized. This suggests that SHP1 is an enzyme can inhibit gastric cancer.

Researchers believe that, after a person infected with Helicobacter, both enzymes perform their respective functions of degree will determine whether he will be suffering from stomach cancer. So, if you can find SHP1 function of this enzyme material, will help prevent stomach cancer.
